Welcome to the K.E.Y Counseling Solutions. My name is Tiffany Gutierrez and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (IMH 17398).
Although my clinical experience includes working with trauma, specifically with survivors of sexual violence and abuse, I am proficient in treating a wide variety of therapeutic concerns. Therapeutic concerns of interest include trauma, eating disorders and phobias. During our counseling sessions clients can anticipate a safe space to discuss their concerns. In addition to the feelings of depression, anxiety, guilt and shame that typically accompany those concerns. While I employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, my theoretical foundation is rooted in Adlerian Therapy. It is my desire and goal to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients to achieve their goal of becoming their healthiest, best self. The focus of counseling with my clients consists of helping to discover the purpose self-defeating thoughts and behaviors serve in their lives, and how those originated. It is in my experience that through challenging clients to consider alternative ways of thinking (looking at themselves, others and life differently) the unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaving can be transformed into new productive ways. It is with this newly discovered insight, clients now have the knowledge that can empower them to create real change in their lives. Essentially, clients have the K.E.Y that unlocks freedom through healing.
